A crew of Walter Payton High School students who decided not to wait. Here's who we are.
Jonathan Behrens
Jonathan is a student at Walter Payton High School in Chicago and the founder of Payton Planters. He started the initiative after realizing that climate solutions don't have to wait for permission. They can start with a shovel, a sapling, and a Saturday morning.
When he isn't organizing tree-plantings, he's recruiting friends, talking to neighbors, and figuring out which Chicago blocks need shade the most.

Hello! I am Luna Randall. I am a sophomore at Walter Payton College Prep. I co-operate this nonprofit because I value sustainability, and keeping the Chicagoland area thriving. I hope to make the city a greener place, and that you will help us achieve this!
Madeline Lee
Yo! I'm Madeline Lee. I'm a sophomore at Walter Payton College Prep. I'm The Media Director and am on the executive board of Payton Planters. I truly love Chicago and want to do anything I can to help it develop with the Earth. It's crucial to act now while you still have more than just hope. This is possible, and I think you know it too.
